In order to create The Balvenie Port Wood 21 year old single malt whisky, rare Balvenie is transferred to thirty year old port pipes for an additional period of maturation. This extra maturation contributes to an increased depth and concentration of flavour adding smoky notes, potent fruits, and remarkable character to the silky-smooth full-bodied palate.
